Grain mashing and hopping schedules

5kg Castle Pale Ale, 600g wheat, 21L water

Mash 63 70 minutes, sparge 6L —no sugar!

             Grains not crushed !!!

Mashed  several hours—long long time 68°C got to about brix 4

             Mixed up grain from mash in mixer to liberate sugar. Got to about Brix 7

Added 1kg pale malt powder and 500g sugar.

Once boiling :

10 min             30g centennial

25 min              30g centennial

40 min             50g cascade

80 min              30g cascade stop boing

Cooling           30g cascade

10 min             25g centennial + 5 SG

25 min              12g centennial + 18 SG

40 min             40g cascade

80 min              30g cascade + 6SG

Cooling           30g cascade + 6SG
